Searcy Accepts Visiting Professor Post
Dr. Michael Searcy has recently joined the Department of Anthropology as a visiting professor. Searcy finished his doctorate at the University of Oklahoma and is currently conducting research in northern Chihuahua, Mexico, examining various aspects of the Casas Grande culture.
MPC Receives National Award
Brigham Young University’s Museum of Peoples and Cultures has earned an Award of Merit for its exhibit “Beneath Your Feet: Discovering the Archaeology of Utah Valley” from the American Association for State and Local History. The award will be presented at the 66th Leadership in History Awards ceremony during the association’s 2011 Annual Meeting in Richmond, Va., in September.
