A Chorus for Peace: A Global Anthology of Poetry by Women
This book is a compilation of personal reflections of women from across the globe. Compiled and edited by Marilyn Arnold, Bonnie Ballif-Spanvill, and Kristen Tracy, the purpose of this research was to find contemporary women from all over the world who could describe their experiences with violence and their dreams for peace. This study of over 10,000 poems addressing difficult issues concerning conflict and the lives of women resulted in a collection of poetry that Ireland has described as "a poignant anthology that is at once frightening and beautiful, absorping and powerful. A moving testament to thuman spirit's ability to overcome and survive personal, communal, national, and golbal tragedies."
