MSW Admissions

Admission to Brigham Young University is open to persons of any race, color, creed, religion, sex, ethnic, or national origin who meet the University's academic requirements and agree to abide by its standards. Physically handicapped persons are accorded this same nondiscriminatory consideration. The Admissions Committee is especially sensitive to the need for a balanced student body with respect to such factors as age, race, sex, and place of origin.

Approximately 40 students are admitted into the MSW program each year. New students enter only during Fall Semester (about September 1) each year.

The deadline for filing applications for the MSW program is January 15th. Experience suggests that it takes an average of about six weeks to gather all materials. The admissions committee will make its selection and submit its recommendations by the end of Winter Semester (about April 25). The Graduate Studies Office will formally notify applicants about the University's decision.
