About Me

I joined the BYU social work faculty in 1995 after four years at The Ohio State University. I received my Ph.D. from The University of Utah. My teaching interests are in the areas of clinical practice with individuals, families, and groups. My research focuses on developing and evaluating family strengthening programs in the child welfare system. In addition to my teaching, research, and administrative work, I have a small clinical practice.
