Dr. Matheny is an anthropologist with broad experience in Mesoamerican
archaeology, the American Southwest, Utah, and in Bronze and Iron Age Israel.
He is interested in the origins of civilizations , especially those of
the New World. Currently, Dr. Matheny is working on analyzing DNA preserved
in mummies from Northern Chile and Peru.
