Grace Elizabeth Shallit Memorial Grants

The Grace Elizabeth Shallit Memorial Fund provides modest research grants (maximum of $2000.00) for undergraduate majors, graduate students, faculty members, and administrative staff from the Department of Anthropology. Applications for the Shallit Grants are due November 15th, 2007 and are available online, or from the Department of Anthropology secretaries. Applications should be submitted to Dr. David Johnson, Chair, Shallit Awards Committee on or before the due date.

Grant applicants must have a faculty mentor from the department and are required to submit a project title and description, anticipated products from funded research (journal article, book, monograph, presentation etc.), and a budget sheet itemizing fund usage. At the conclusion of the academic year, recipients must submit a preliminary report to the Shallit Fund Review Committee and Chair that summarizes research activities and details monies spent.
